3 most promising Bafana rookies

Reeve Frosler, Bidvest Wits

The 20-year-old wingback demonstrated an outstanding football skill as a junior player for South Africa’s teams. The athlete has the best chances of making it to the international league.

Being very quick and agile, the player is good in attacking situation and if Stuart Baxter, the team’s coach, will be able to polish his defensive skill, Reeve may become even more valuable as a team member. Who knows, maybe he will also get to play in the European leagues such as Bundesliga or English Premier league just like Steven Pienaar. However, even now it’s obvious, that Bafana should build their defence around Reeve.

Siphesihle Ndlovu‚ Maritzburg United

The 21-year-old midfielder is notorious for his dynamic playing style, which he indicated during his first season as the Maritzburg United squad member. He proved to be incredibly versatile – he played not only as the left back but also in every other position. His midfield skills proved to be as good as his left and right centre positions.
However, versatility is not the only strong suit – those who watch live broadcasts know, that Siphesihle is also great at scoring, which is a rare talent for Bafana midfielders.

His energy made him a number-one contender for the May PSL Young Player of the Season title. Siphesihle has a shot to become the next Shoes Moshoeu, who had very good winning stats for the national team in 1990. Thus, his long stay in Bafana is almost 100% certain.

Teboho Mokoena‚ SuperSport United

Although Teboho is only 20 years old, he has already proved to be a natural footballer. He has the same versatility as Siphesihle and can be both grafter and offensive midfielder.

Bafana coach Stuart Baxter refers to Teboho as one of the most valuable players in the team. This is not surprising as the midfielder is known for having an exceptional ball possession and distribution skill as well as trained scoring opportunity hunch.

Teboho’s recent results in the CAF Confederation Cup match made it clear, that he is ready to become a long-time Bafana team member.
