Barberton Rugby Club dedicated to improve

A jubilant BRC first team after beating Nelspruit.

The entertaining encounter was held at Coronation Park on Saturday afternoon.

According to Jaice Terblanche, Barberton’s captain, they have made a mind shift this season and want to compete with the best teams in the province.

“We know there is still a lot that we need to improve on before we can compete on a regular basis. We started practise in January and one can see the hard work that the team is putting in,” said Terblanche.

He applauded BRC’s performance against Nelspruit.

“The guys’ commitment on defence was outstanding. We have three more weeks to sort out our team selection and all the small errors before the league starts,” the captain added.

Meanwhile Barberton’s second team lost 41-5 to Nelspruit.

This weekend they are going to Mozambique for team building and next weekend they will host White River at Coronation Park. These will also be friendly games.
