Concern citizens donate uniform

The Concern Group comprises reformed gangster, Gift “Scapbro” Mnisi, Pat Nkalanga and Ndumiso Mabena.

The trio formed the group after seeing the escalating crime rate in the area. Their aim is to assist in curbing these incidents, especially at schools.

According to Mnisi, they identified the needy learners during their visits to the school.

“We first thought they were deliberately not wearing their full uniforms. We then conducted our investigation and we also went to speak to their parents.

“We found out that their parents did not have money to buy them uniforms, so we each made a contribution and bought them what they needed,” said Mnisi.

He also expressed his disappointment regarding the behaviour of some of the learners who did not want to change.

“Even after we warned them about gangsterism, today two boys came and attacked another boy in class.

“He was stabbed with a knife in the head,” said Mnisi.
