Team reaches out to the young and chosen in schools

The founder, Hazel Mathenjwa, said the organisation was initially aimed at helping young girls.
“However, after seeing the challenges faced by the boys in our community, I decided to include them in the initiative. This was after I held two successful events for the girls,” said Hazel.
At the above-mentioned events, Hazel addressed the importance of hygiene, education and self-love, then sanitary pads were distributed.
During last Thursday’s session for the boys, themed “Vuka Chawe elinamandla Men of Valor”, Sipho Magagula and Mzwandile Mathenjwa from the Department of Social Development addressed the young men. Magagula talked about the difference between a boy and a man and their various responsibilities whereas Mzwandile addressed substance abuse and crime.

The organisers proceeded to hand out bibles to the boys.
According to Hazel, her organisation will now reach out to other schools.
She said they have identified Fairview Primary as the next school to visit.
