Sincobile present united front against Chelsea

Sincobile United Football Club play against Chelsea Football Club.

Sincobile United Football Club made a point of maintaining their top spot when they beat Chelsea Football Club. This was during one of the thrilling promotional encounters at the Phase 2 playground on Saturday afternoon.

The game started at a very high pace and was equally balanced, but both teams squandered good scoring opportunities in the first half. As a result, they went to half time with the scoreboard reading 0-0.

In the second half, both teams made some changes in an attempt to find a winning combination.

The changes paid dividends for the log leaders when Sipho Dlamini scored in the first few minutes of the second half, after he was set up by Jeffry Mabuza.

Chelsea suffered a great blow when Isaia Mathebula got a red card for misconduct. Mathebula shouted and intimidated the youngest 10-year-old assistant referee, Lifa Mamidza, and went on to swear at the referee.

Sincobile capitalised on the 10-man Chelsea. They started to dominate the game and started to attack from all sides.

Simanga Ndlovu scored the second and final goal in the dying stages of the game to make it 2-0.

The win for Sincobile cemented their top spot, while Chelsea dropped from seventh position to eighth.

After 14 games, Sincobile won 12, lost and drew once while Chelsea won five games, lost seven, and drew twice.
