Barbertonian a finalist in Miss SA Jnr

The 16-year-old Celia Brandt, a grade 10 learner of Barberton High School recently advanced to the final of the Miss SA Jr.

“I am very excited about this opportunity, especially because I’m from a small town.” said Celia.

Celia, who has been modelling for Figures models in Mbombela, has also recently become the official face of Blue Blood Photography.
She said that apart from the thrill of it all, she is also stressed, and that it still feels surreal to participate in such a big national competition.

For one whole week, April 20 to May 3, the finalists, who will be staying at a hotel in Pretoria, will be judged on various abilities. The crowning will take place at the ACPP Hall in Pretoria.

Miss SA Junior resembles the Miss SA competition but on a smaller scale. The winner will also, apart from the numerous prizes, be given certain responsibilities such as charity work, which she will have to do in her community.

“I wish to thank all my sponsors. B&J Bridal for making my garments, Vodacom and Barberton Ford for financing my transport. To all my family and friends, thank you for your support,” she said.
